Experience the Iron Age at Public Events

Living History Display - Outdoor Public Event

Iron Age Warrior Training - Outdoor Public Event

An Iron Age camp when away from home.

This includes examples of metal, wood and leather work, also the use of various organic materials such as antler, wool and bone. I have display only and interactive examples of many replica items.

I can provide also provide  "face painting" of Iron Age Woad patterns.

These displays have worked best as something of interest for people to browse at their leisure and interact with, best utilised at "open day" or outdoor events where there is a large number of passing public.

A young man enjoying his Warrior Training.

Created to give children a “hand’s on” experience, using wooden spears and javelins.

All the activities are designed so the children can use the wooden weapons in a structured and safe environment, with multiple sets of apparatus holding various "targets".

At no point do the children handle the weapons unsupervised or use them in any other way but to enjoy the activities provided.

Living History Display and Activities - Indoor Event

An indoor Living History display of materials.

Ideal for Museums or Indoor venues we provide a Living History Display including  examples of metal, wood and leather work, also the use of various organic materials such as antler, wool and bone. I have display only and interactive examples of many replica items.

In additionI have a range of "hands on" activities such as shield and spear decorating. This has been successful when organised for 2-3 sessions per day, approximately 2 hours each, for a pre-set number of children. From experience, groups of 15 to 20 children, aged between 6yrs-14yrs, has worked well with myself and atleast two other adults.

Health and Safety and Insurance

A Health and Safety Risk Assessment for each option and Public Liability Insurance are available on request.

I am happy to bring any/all of my replica kit along to any display, film work or photography booking that requires Iron Age period dress and Living History equipment such as quern stones, cooking set up and materials used in the period to give a more day to day/homely impression.
It is possible to dress up to 6 adults in authentic dress with suitable weapons and accessories.
I also have equipment suitable for combat scenarios including authentic swords, spears, shields and javelin. Please ask for further information as your individual needs may require further discussions.
